Izzy has a degree in Sports Therapy from Worcester University and a Masters degree in Sports Rehabilitation from Middlesex University. Izzy set up ‘Izzy Branson Sports Therapy’ 5 years ago and the clinic has grown ever since.
Izzy has worked in top tier professional rugby for a number of years, at Wasps and now Worcester Warriors, where she provides a variety of soft tissue therapy treatments including massage, trigger point therapy, MET techniques and acupuncture for the players to alleviate pain and improve function to allow for optimal training. Izzy monitors the players Musculo-skeletal test scores daily and implements pre-habilitation interventions to prevent injuries occuring.
Along side her work with professional athletes, Izzy has a particular interest in working with the general population who struggle with lower back and hip dysfunctions, implementing soft tissue therapy to reduce symptoms and pain along side specific rehabilitation programs to target the cause of the dysfunction. Izzy hopes to start delivering workshops on a variety of topics such as hip mobility, core strengthening and shoulder mobility to pass on practical and knowledge based information.
Cerys graduated from the University of Worcester, attaining a Bsc honour Sports Therapy degree. Cerys studied here for 3 years, along side getting hands on experience within clinics run by the uni, covering a range of injuries from a number of different sports.
As well as university clinics, Cerys grew her knowledge with placements at Bromsgrove Rugby Club, and Worcester Warriros Women, where she performed tasks such as injury assessments, aiding with injury rehab and preventative strategies, soft tissue massage, taping, and pitch-side in both a professional and relaxed amateur environment.
Cerys now works for Luctonians RFC where she works as a sports therapist alongside a medical team covering injuries and rehab, and also match days pitchside. Cerys has a strong interest in rugby which is where she thrives in a team environment.
